Record-setting solar car arrives in San Francisco

The sun-powered SolarWorld GT is about to set off on the third stage of its round-the-world trip, departing from San Francisco this weekend. The SolarWorld team is aiming to be the first to go around the world in a vehicle with only externally-provided electricity to power it, and also to set a record for the longest distance travelled by a solar-powered car.
