    Sparks flew yesterday at the US hearing over the Chevrolet Volt electric car post crash fires. The hearing’s primary function was to establish why the NHTSA took more than three months to make an official announcement. In the hot seat were GM CEO Dan Akerson, the NHTSA's David Strickland and John German, Program Director at the International Council on Clean Transportation.
